2.3.3 Research of suitable algorithms to compare product shapes with their CAD models

The goal of this research is to design a system capable of automated identification of a physical object (mechanical component of a machine) by comparing its 3D scan with a database of 3D models.

The comparing (matching) algorithm is described in the following journal article:
