Since its establishment in 1989, the Department of Robotics has been focusing on the complex field of robotics – in education, research and science and expert services for practice. According to the current trends the department members concentrate also on the service robotics and robototechnics and on application of robots in non-machinery branches.
The team RoverOva consisting of students of our department achieved with their robot K3P4 a decent 4th place in the first ever international mobile robot competition Anatolian Rover Challenge in Turkey.
The team RoverOva consisting of students of our department achieved with their robot K3P4 a decent 6th place during their fourth participation in the international mobile robot competition European Rover Challenge.
The team of students of our department achieved an excellent 2nd place with their K3P4 robot during their third participation in the European Rover Challenge international mobile robot competition. The team also won two special awards - for best analysis and best autonomous navigation. A total of 46 teams from all over the world took part in the competition.
The team of students of our department achieved an excellent 3rd place with their K3P4 robot during their second participation in the European Rover Challenge international mobile robot competition. A total of 28 teams from 13 countries took part in the competition, including, for example, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, India, Turkey, Colombia and Bangladesh.
The Department of Robotics offers fifth-year full-time students the opportunity to obtain an official ABB certificate at the operator, adjuster and specialist levels. The certificate is free for students, the condition is participation in a two-day training and then passing the test.
