Summary
The subject of research are the transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steels which are characterised by their excellent strength and high ductility, which allow the production of more complicated parts for lightweight automotive applications. The scientific goal of the project is to examine whether an applied non-conventional method of deformation (DRECE) can impart TRIP steel with better performance in plastic strain in comparison to typical methods of formation. The aim is to achieve a significant increase in mechanical properties in as few passages as possible by the forming device, in particular increasing the yield strength and the ultimate tensile strength, while maintaining good formability. The influence of the strain rate and the number of passages on the degree of TRIP steel reinforcement will be analysed. Overall, the effect of individual passages on the increasing of mechanical properties of TRIP steel will be tested as a function of the total number of passages through the forming device. The microstructure and anisotropy of the mechanical properties of the strip sheet will be analysed after each pass by the tensile test method. The aim of the research will be to optimise the DRECE process in terms of obtaining high strength parameters of deformed TRIP steel.
