Summary
Metallic materials produced using Powder Bed Fusion-Laser Beam/Metal (PBF-LB/M) 3D printing possess a number of advantages over materials obtained using conventional technologies. However, due to the specific nature of the 3D printing process and the associated limitations, the functionality and application possibilities of these materials are limited. Therefore, efforts are being made to expand the applicability of materials obtained using PBF-LB/M technology, including heat and surface treatment, including the production of coatings. The project includes research into the production of materials from Ni, Cu, Fe, and W alloys with PVD, CVD, and Pack cementation coatings, aiming at determining the scope of possibilities for producing coatings on substrates from these materials after printing and improving their functionality, including increased wear resistance.
The research results will provide new knowledge on increasing the functionality of materials obtained by the PBF-LB/M method with single- and multi-layer coatings produced using CVD, PVD, and Pack cementation technologies.
