Summary
The research aimed to analyse the structure of transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steel deformed using the Dual Rolls Equal Channel Extrusion (DRECE) method in the context of microstructure and texture changes, and their relation to strength properties after strain hardening by DRECE. The DRECE method successfully combines two well-known Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) techniques: DCAP Differential Channel Angular Pressing) and ECAP-CONFORM (Continuous Equal Channel Pressing). In method DRECE, the sample is fed into the working zone and then extruded through the roll without changing its dimensions. The subject of the research is TRIP 690 steel. TRIP steels are characterized by excelent strength and high ductility, which enables the production of more complex components for lightweight automotive applications.
