VSB-TUO once again wins the “University Recommended by Employers” Award

The university has now received the University Recommended by Employers award for the fourth consecutive year.

“The long-term quality of our university in preparing graduates for the needs of the labor market is our priority. Every year, we adapt and innovate our study programs and place great emphasis on cooperation with industry in order to support its development. I am pleased that our efforts have been reflected in this ranking, as we also see growing interest in studying at our university,” said Igor Ivan, Rector of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

VSB-TUO has maintained a top position in this ranking every year since 2022, securing a stable place among Czech universities recognized and preferred by employers. Companies value technical education, and the labor market confirms that VŠB-TUO graduates achieve excellent employment outcomes in practice.

The university’s faculties also achieved success. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering placed 2nd in the faculty category, while the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science ranked 8th among more than a hundred faculties. VŠB-TUO has long focused on technical fields essential for innovation and the growth of Czech industry. This success is the result of cooperation with industrial partners and a strong emphasis on practical experience during studies.

The University Recommended by Employers survey is organized by the Employers’ Club of the Czech Republic. Its goal is to recognize universities that, from the employers’ perspective, provide high-quality and practically oriented graduates. Representatives of companies evaluate individual faculties and universities based on their contribution to the labor market. This year, a total of 167 institutions (faculties and smaller universities) were assessed.
