Job description

You will belong to a team with members located in different locations across Europe. You will be responsible for the elaboration of requests for quotation and provision of professional technical advice in the field of mass timber building components.

Technical Sales Engineers are the key point of contact for our business developer managers and sales managers, answering queries, providing technical advice and preparing quantity take-offs as basis for new offers.

  • Follows the pre-defined processes for Building Solution offers and cost estimations;
  • understands the customer needs based on drawings, sketches and/or other relevant project information;
  • provides pre-sales support to sales managers and business developers by creating scheme designs, preliminary structural calculations, 3D CAD models, quantity take-offs, basic feasibility studies;
  • uses specific pricing tools to calculate prices for value added products (e.g. CLT rib panels);
  • maintains and updates data in the CRM system to enable offer management and follow up;
  • provide the best technical advice on building components per application based on drawings and/or other information provided by customers;
  • implements basic offer information to Stora Enso Wood Products’ to the ERP system (WPS) to allow for data processing by other departments;
  • reporting of time afford require for request elaboration.


  • Bachelor, Master degree or equivalent degree in Engineering;
  • experience in Timber construction is of advantage;
  • English and German – good communication skills in both spoken and written form (B2) / Czech – native;
  • experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, etc.);
  • pro-active and customer focused attitude, ability to analyze customer information and to find suitable solutions;
  • is a team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • communicates fluently and clearly;
  • structured working approach and good self-management;
  • is capable to work in an international team;
  • sets priorities, meets deadlines and performs well under pressure.
