This branch develops the extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of basic production technologies, the design, organization and management in engineering. There are developed and applied the latest knowledge and methods of operational research in the field of design and production and quality management. The aim of the study is to gain competence and skills for independent and team of engineering and creative work. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of industrial engineering, which are projected, manages or innovative technological processes and production systems, including related auxiliary and service processes.

The branch Industrial Engineering prepares students for a wide variety of technical positions in manufacturing companies, which require specialists with the highest technical and project-oriented education. Educates specialists in the wide field of industrial engineering who design, manage or innovative technological processes and production systems, including related auxiliary and service processes. Educates specialists in management, design and all related activities.

Study aims

The study in this field educates professionals with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of basic production technologies, the design, organization and management in mechanical engineering. Students will further deepen the knowledge in the basic areas of industrial production, including design, production and quality management and metrology by the study of logistics, metrology and methods of production management.

Graduate's knowledge

The graduate will acquire theoretical knowledge in the design and management of production, including a comprehensive overview of experimental and numerical methods of operations research. This branch prepares specialists in the wide field of industrial engineering who design or innovative technological processes and production systems, including related auxiliary and service processes. The branch educates specialists in management, design and all related activities.

The graduate of this field will acquire theoretical knowledge, practical skills and experience necessary to the independent engineering work in each field of this branch: design, organization and production management, quality and innovation in the logistics industry, process controlling and management methods.

The study objective is to obtain competencies and abilities to engineering work in branch, concretely creative way:
- to apply principles of production processes and innovation,
- to design and interpret numerical and experimental methods of production processes analysis and controlling,
- to design manufacturing processes, including logistics,
- to collect and integrate information stream in the production branch.
